Henri Didon

Henri Didon (17 March 1840, Le Touvet (Isère), France – 13 March 1900, Toulouse) was a French Dominican preacher, writer, and educator. The Olympic motto Citius altius fortius, suggested by his friend Pierre de Coubertin in 1894 and official since 1924 dates back to one that Didon coined for a Paris youth gathering of 1891.
