Nationwide Series
JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports officially combined NASCAR Nationwide Series operations following the conclusion of the 2007 racing season. The No. 5 Chevrolets were fielded full-time under the JR Motorsports banner in 2008. The team is fielded by JR Motorsports in parnership with Hendrick Motorsports. The partnership campaigns two full-time race cars under the JR Motorsports banner that utilize Hendrick Motorsports engines, chassis and vehicle engineering support. Rick Hendrick is listed as car owner of the No. 5 team and Dale Earnhardt Jr. is car owner of the No. 88. JRM and HMS also collaborate in the areas of partnership development, sponsorship services, marketing and media relations.
