Heaton Chapel Railway Station - Service

Service

Four trains per hour go from Heaton Chapel towards Manchester Piccadilly northbound. These services come from Crewe, Buxton, Stoke on Trent and Alderley Edge (hourly from each). There are also three Mon-Fri peak period calls by Hazel Grove to Blackpool North services.

Southbound services run to Alderley Edge, Crewe and Buxton. The hourly Preston to Hazel Grove service also calls southbound. Services toward Macclesfield and Stoke on Trent no longer call in the southbound direction, except for a single early morning train.

During the evening and on Sundays, there are two trains per hour to Manchester and hourly trains to Crewe and Buxton.

Famous quotes containing the word service:

I like the silent church before the service begins, better than any preaching. How far off, how cool, how chaste the persons look, begirt each one with a precinct or sanctuary!
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

This was a great point gained; the archdeacon would certainly not come to morning service at Westminster Abbey, even though he were in London; and here the warden could rest quietly, and, when the time came, duly say his prayers.
    Anthony Trollope (1815–1882)

The socialism of our day has done good service in setting men to thinking how certain civilizing benefits, now only enjoyed by the opulent, can be enjoyed by all.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
