Tape Reading

The tapes were read photo-electrically at a "gate" which was placed as near as possible to the sprocket to reduce the effect of stretched tapes. Famous quotes containing the words tape and/or reading:

    I could buy one
Tape and get another free. I accept- Ed the deal, paid for one tape and
Chose a free one. But since I’ve been
Repeatedly billed for my free tape.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)

The truth in a calm world,
In which there is no other meaning, itself

Is calm, itself is summer and night, itself
Is the reader leaning late and reading there.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)
