Killers
  • Kett Turton as Daniel Lynne, arguably the antagonist of the film, and the ringleader of the shootings. After killing four of the six victims, he commits suicide from offscreen out of guilt over killing Kevin. He is linked to both Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold of the Columbine shootings.
  • Elisabeth Rosen as Dara McDermott, a meth-addicted outcast. After killing two of the six victims, she is subdued and turned over to the police. She is arguably linked to Eric Harris of the Columbine shootings, but outfit she wears is similar to Dylan Klebold's.
Kids
  • Michael Belyea as Barry Shultz, Daniel's best friend, and arguably the main protagonist of the film.
  • Elisabeth Moss as Robin Walters, a pregnant girl, hoping to become a waitress.
  • G. Michael Gray as Wex Presley, a student drug dealer who sells meth to Dara. After Mrs. Jones berates him for selling drugs, he realizes his actions after Dara kills Mr. Pratt and Karyn.
  • Kevin Mundy as Tommy Bruno, Karyn's boyfriend and a jock. Karyn breaks up with him after learning that he cheated on her with Paula and Dara, the latter of whom which developed mutual feelings for him.
  • Spencer Achtymichuk as James Pratt, Will's toddler-aged son, who has a habit of repeating the curse words Will lets slip.
  • Lily Shavick as Paula, Karyn's best friend.
  • Michaela Mann as Slow White, a girl seduced into having sex with Frank. She is not in the same school district as the other characters.

Bullies
  • Will Sanderson as Frank Herman, the head bully.
  • Matthew MacCaull as Donald "Donny" Pritzi, a jock/bully, who hands Dara over to the police after she kills Karyn, and is hailed as a true hero. It is only presumed that this act of violence made Donny realize the consequences of his actions. He is hinted to have a crush on Karyn.
  • Christopher Marvrikos as Lenny, the least intelligent of the bullies, who agrees with everything Frank says.
Adults
  • Jurgen Prochnow as Harold Lewis, the principal of Riverside High School.
  • Maria Conchita Alonso as Vanessa Jones, the school's guidance counselor.
  • Clint Howard as Arthur "Artie" Lynne, Daniel's abusive, uncaring father.
  • Maeve Quinlan as Becky Schultz, Barry's loving mother. Barry affectively saves her life by warning her to stay away from school on the day of the shootings.
  • Chilton Crane as Helena Pratt, Will's wife and James' mother.
  • Lesley Ewin and Brigit Stein as Ms. Weinberg and Mrs. Hall, the school's office administrators.
  • Patrick Muldoon as Ryan Kirkland, a friend of Will's who works at the school.
Victims
  • Alejandro Rae as Paul, one of the bullies and the first to die; he gets shot in the chest by Daniel.
  • Brendan Fletcher as Ricky Herman, one of the bullies, who slowly begins to realize the consequences of his actions. He is killed when Daniel shoots him in the stomach, chest, and head.
  • Steve Byers as Jeff, another bully, who is shot twice in the chest by Daniel.
  • Miles Meadows as Kevin Rhodes, Robin's boyfriend, who argues with her about her future options, but eventually decides to go with whatever she decides to do. He is killed when Daniel shoots him through the heart; the only unintentional victim of the shootings.
  • Michael Pare as William Pratt, the creative writing teacher, who lets his personal frustrations get the better of him. After apologizing to his class for his actions, Dara shoots him in the stomach and chest, killing him. He is closely linked to Dave Sanders, as both were the only teachers killed in their respective shootings.
  • Stephanie MacGillivray as Karyn Lewis, the principal's daughter, closely linked to Columbine victim Rachel Scott, as they have similar personalities. She is killed when Dara shoots her through the heart.
