Heart Lake (Ontario)

Heart Lake is a lake located in the northern part of Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The lake itself is found in the Heart Lake Conservation Area in which trees are planted every year by students from the local elementary schools. There are numerous biking and running trails as well as a roped-off area for swimming in the lake, as well as boat rentals. The community immediately surrounding around the lake takes its name from it, as do several institutions, including Heart Lake Secondary School.

Famous quotes containing the words heart and/or lake:

I know I have the body of a weak, feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king—and of a King of England too, and think foul scorn that Parma or Spain, or any prince of Europe, should dare to invade the borders of my realm; to which, rather than any dishonour should grow by me, I myself will take up arms—I myself will be your general, judge, and rewarder of every one of your virtues in the field.
    Elizabeth I (1533–1603)

The swans. He was not the man for swans.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)
