The American toyline established that the Headmasters were Autobots and Decepticons who had been partnered and bonded with members of a race of organic beings named Nebulons. The toys included:

  He transforms into a alligator with Grax.

  He transforms into a wolf with Monzo.
• Apeface
  He transforms into a jet / gorilla with Spasma.
• Snapdragon
  He transforms into a jet / dinosaur with Krunk.
