Internet Video (HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA)

He-Man was the star of a popular internet video known as HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA. The video featured him and other characters from then 1983 animated series singing the popular 1990s song "What's Going On" by 4 Non Blondes. HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA was made in 2005 by the animation company SlackCircus, but it was under the title "Fabulous Secret Powers." This version featured the entire song and was 4 minutes long. But the video was not popular until 2010, when a YouTube user shortened SlackCircus's original to 2 minutes, and posted it on YouTube under the title of HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA, named after the song featured in the video's chorus. It became a viral sensation and got over 26 million views, many more than both the SlackCircus original and the original song itself. However in November 2012 it was taken down when SLackCircus filed a copyright claim against the user who posted their video without permission. As of November 14 2012 the claim was retracted and HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA is back on YouTube

Famous quotes containing the word video:

We attempt to remember our collective American childhood, the way it was, but what we often remember is a combination of real past, pieces reshaped by bitterness and love, and, of course, the video past—the portrayals of family life on such television programs as “Leave it to Beaver” and “Father Knows Best” and all the rest.
    Richard Louv (20th century)
