Haydon School - Removal of House System

Removal of House System

From September 2012 onwards it was removed, Haydon School no longer has a house system in place.instead, they replaced it with a year system. This change also means that the coloured ties and conduct cards have no significance. This is why the new head teacher, Mr Jones has decided that each year group will be allocated a colour, which will move up with them until they leave the school. The new year 7's have whatever colour the previous year 11's had e.g the new year 7's have red, this colour will stay with them throughout their time in the school. The teachers decided to make this change so they could manage the students better.

Famous quotes containing the words removal of, removal, house and/or system:

If God now wills the removal of a great wrong, and wills also that we of the North as well as you of the South, shall pay fairly for our complicity in that wrong, impartial history will find therein new cause to attest and revere the justice and goodness of God.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

Many a reformer perishes in his removal of rubbish,—and that makes the offensiveness of the class. They are partial; they are not equal to the work they pretend. They lose their way; in the assault on the kingdom of darkness, they expend all their energy on some accidental evil, and lose their sanity and power of benefit.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

A nation grown free in a single day is a child born with the limbs and the vigour of a man, who would take a drawn sword for his rattle, and set the house in a blaze that he might chuckle over the splendour.
    Sydney Smith (1771–1845)

I confidently predict the collapse of capitalism and the beginning of history. Something will go wrong in the machinery that converts money into money, the banking system will collapse totally, and we will be left having to barter to stay alive. Those who can dig in their garden will have a better chance than the rest. I’ll be all right; I’ve got a few veg.
    Margaret Drabble (b. 1939)
