Hatton (Sinhala: හැටන්, Tamil: ஹற்றன்), is a town in Nuwara Eliya District of Central Province, Sri Lanka. It's governed by an Urban Council. It is known for its Ceylon tea plantations and industry. The town is situated at an elevation of 1271 m (4168ft) It is notable that companies operating island-wide like Hatton National Bank and Brown & Co. Ltd. were founded in Hatton. & Awarded Peace Town In Sri Lanka During Period of Chairman Mr. M A Aboosally (UC)

Located in the Colombo-Badulla railway line, and Colombo - Nuware Eliya main Road (A7). The town serves as a gateway to Adam's Peak pilgrims, Nuwara Eliya and tourists.

In 2008 part of the Hatton town including religious places, was Gazetted as a Religious Zone by the Government of Sri Lanka.
