Ahcene Zemiri, also known as Hassan Zumiri, is an Algerian citizen who spent eight years in extrajudicial detention in the United States Guantanamo Bay detainment camps, in Cuba without ever being charged.
In January 2010, Zemiri was freed from Guantanamo Bay and repatriated back to Algeria.
