Rabia made his international debut for Oman on 14 November 2008 against Jordan in which he scored as brace as Oman went on to win 2–0. He then scored again on 19 December 2008 against Ecuador as Oman won 2–0. He was then selected by Oman national team coach Claude Le Roy into the final squad for the 2009 Gulf Cup of Nations. He then scored a hat-trick for Oman in there second match of the tournament against Iraq as Oman went on to win 4–0.
