Hassan I Airport

Hassan I Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto de El Aaiún, French: Aéroport de Laâyoune) (IATA: EUN, ICAO: GMML/GSAI) is an airport serving El Aaiún, the capital city of Western Sahara. The airport is named for Hassan I of Morocco. It is operated by the Moroccan state-owned company ONDA. Due to the particular political situation of Western Sahara, this airport appears in the Moroccan AIP as GMML and in the Spanish AIP as GSAI.

Famous quotes containing the words hassan and/or airport:

Quotations offer one kind of break in what the eye can see, the ear can hear.
    —Ihab Hassan (b. 1925)

Airplanes are invariably scheduled to depart at such times as 7:54, 9:21 or 11:37. This extreme specificity has the effect on the novice of instilling in him the twin beliefs that he will be arriving at 10:08, 1:43 or 4:22, and that he should get to the airport on time. These beliefs are not only erroneous but actually unhealthy.
    Fran Lebowitz (b. 1950)
