Harvard Din & Tonics - Origin of The Name

Origin of The Name

The name Din & Tonics is a pun on the popular drink gin and tonic, and the words din, meaning a loud noise, and tonic, a musical term meaning the first note of a musical scale. The lime green socks that the group wears are representative of the lime that is traditionally served with the gin and tonic, hence their slogan "A cappella with a twist."
