The Sunwise Turn Bookstore and Broom
After the war, Loeb became partial owner of book shop The Sunwise Turn. While working at the Sunwise Turn, he met several authors and future business partners, including F. Scott Fitzgerald, Laurence Vail, Malcolm Cowley and his future business partners Alfred Kreymborg and Lola Ridge. Harold separated from his wife Marjorie in 1921 and they were officially divorced in 1923. In 1921, Loeb convinced Alfred Kreymborg to become joint partners and publish Broom magazine. Loeb sold his share of the Sunwise Turn bookstore and moved to Rome to begin publication of the magazine.
