Harbor Boulevard - Route Description

Route Description

It runs from Costa Mesa through Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Anaheim and La Habra before it turns into Fullerton Road in the unincorporated community of Rowland Heights just over the Los Angeles County line. It is the eastern border for the Disneyland Resort property and easily visible from the Monorail ride, although it is not visible while actually standing in the park due to Disneyland's berm. In reality, Harbor Blvd. is so close to that portion of Tomorrowland that the sirens of emergency vehicles that are traveling on it are quite audible to the guests in queues for Autopia or the Disneyland Railroad train ride.

The portion of Harbor Boulevard between La Palma Avenue in Anaheim to Whittier Boulevard in La Habra was part of the historical routing of U.S. Route 101, which was at the time the Coast Route from the Mexican Border to Oregon.

Famous quotes containing the words route and/or description:

    In the mountains the shortest route is from peak to peak, but for that you must have long legs. Aphorisms should be peaks: and those to whom they are spoken should be big and tall of stature.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

    He hath achieved a maid
    That paragons description and wild fame;
    One that excels the quirks of blazoning pens.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
