In 1937 he conducted the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and Georg Kulenkampff in a rendition of Robert Schumann's Violin Concerto in D minor. The original has been restored and reissued by Heritage Records here.

In 2002 Decca Records issued a box set of Schmidt-Isserstedt's recordings of all Beethoven's symphonies, piano concertos, some overtures and his violin concerto.
