Either as Monarch or Hank Hall he possesses the same superpowers: super strength, unlimited stamina, speed and fight as fast as the speed of light, agility, heat ray vision, and invulnerability. Without his partner Dove to suppress his violent nature, his rage then which allows him to become God of Chaos. His armor, crafted using advanced technology, is highly durable. After absorbing the powers of Waverider, giving him the ability to travel through and control time. After piecing together the Worlogog, as either Hawk or Monarch, he is nigh-omnipotent, having god-like status.

As a member of the Black Lantern Corps, Hank wielded a black power ring, which allowed him to fly and generate black energy constructs. He was also able to perceive emotional auras. However, whilst he was able to perceive Holly's aura as red for rage, he saw Dawn's as a pure white that his ring could not identify. While wearing the black power ring it lowers all of his original power by over 50% making it his weakest state but even at that state he is able to destroy Superman.

As Extant his power is lowered by 75% and as Extant is not allowed to become enraged he cannot achieve the ultimate peak of his powers. This state makes him easy to defeat by any foe he crosses paths with.
