Criticism
The 5.0.0.0/8 address block was allocated by IANA to RIPE NCC in November 2010. On April 23, 2012, RIPE started to give out the addresses from this prefix to LIRs. Hamachi users will not be able to connect to any Internet IP addresses within the range as long as the Hamachi client is running.
As of June 2012, addresses in the 5.0.0.0/8 block were already being assigned from LIRs to end customers, causing connectivity problems between users with Hamachi software installed and the rightful users of addresses in that range. LogMeIn acknowledged this in July 2012, but haven't taken any further actions so far, besides advising affected users to turn off IPv4 routing within their software. In its default configuration, Hamachi is still effectively hijacking packets meant to be delivered to the proper users of the address range that Hamachi is squatting on, by causing them to be tunneled through their system, which causes connectivity problems for users running Hamachi software and interfering with regular Internet routing functionality.

Famous quotes containing the word criticism:
“The greater the decrease in the social significance of an art form, the sharper the distinction between criticism and enjoyment by the public. The conventional is uncritically enjoyed, and the truly new is criticized with aversion.”
—Walter Benjamin (18921940)
“I, with other Americans, have perhaps unduly resented the stream of criticism of American life ... more particularly have I resented the sneers at Main Street. For I have known that in the cottages that lay behind the street rested the strength of our national character.”
—Herbert Hoover (18741964)
“I hold with the old-fashioned criticism that Browning is not really a poet, that he has all the gifts but the one needful and the pearls without the string; rather one should say raw nuggets and rough diamonds.”
—Gerard Manley Hopkins (18441889)
