2000s
In 2001, after the departure of founding Mudhoney bass guitarist, Matt Lukin, Maddison joined the US alternative rock band alongside former band mate, Arm. He has appeared on their studio albums, Since We've Become Translucent (2002), Under a Billion Suns (2006) and The Lucky Ones (2008). In November 2011 Arm credited Maddison with reinvigorating his interest in the group after Lukin had left. In 2010, as a side project, Maddison formed The Bricklane where he provided lead guitar and vocals, with Kelly Berry (Mudhoney's sound man, Tiny Hat Orchestra) on drums, Don Blair (Some Velvet Sidewalk) on keyboards and Matt Nimms (Tiny Hat Orchestra) on bass guitar.
