Groundling Marsh - Plot Synopsis

Plot Synopsis

Groundling Marsh took place in a magical swamp, possibly a parody of Point Pelee National Park (coincidentally, the show is Canadian). Most of the characters are Groundlings, but look very different from each other. They can be described as any combination of animal, human, elf, and plant. One of the characters is a robot named Stacks. Generally, humans never appear in the series except as an alien presence represented by a boot or a voice. Most often, humans come to the marsh to dump trash and disrupt the ecosystem (another reference to Point Pelee). The show was designed to be educational and so the story of each episode includes morals such as friendship, honesty, caring, and protection of the environment.

Famous quotes containing the word plot:

There comes a time in every man’s education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide; that he must take himself for better for worse as his portion; that though the wide universe is full of good, no kernel of nourishing corn can come to him but through his toil bestowed on that plot of ground which is given him to till.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
