Air Squadron Day
The first, second and third places teams are invited to attend the Air Squadron Day which is usually held at RAF College Cranwell on the first Sunday in July each year. During the day cadets may be offered flights in aircraft belonging to the Air Squadron members. The cadets also attend a formal parade, where the Captains of the three teams receive the Geoffrey de Havilland Flying Foundation Medals for CCF Achievement along with the presentation of The Air Squadron Trophy to the first placed team.

Famous quotes containing the words squadron and/or day:
“Well gentlemen, this is it. This is what weve been waiting for. Tonight your target is Tokyo. And youre gonna play em the Star Spangled Banner with two-ton bombs. All youve got to do is to remember what youve learned and follow your squadron leaders. Theyll get you in, and theyll get you out. Any questions? All right thats all. Good luck to you. Give em hell.”
—Dudley Nichols (18951960)
“The heavy burden of the growing soul
Perplexes and offends more, day by day;
Week by week, offends and perplexes more
With the imperatives of is and seems
And may and may not, desire and control.”
—T.S. (Thomas Stearns)
