Centre For Digital Media
The Centre for Digital Media (CDM) brings together business, academia and the general community into an emerging district for the digital and creative sectors in Vancouver, British Columbia. It offers a full-time Masters of Digital Media (MDM) program and a part-time version, the Executive Masters of Digital Media (EMDM), as well as student housing. The area immediately surrounding the CDM building is planned to have office space for digital media companies and to facilitate the interaction between academic institutions and firms in the digital media industry.

Famous quotes containing the words centre and/or media:
“To make our idea of morality centre on forbidden acts is to defile the imagination and to introduce into our judgments of our fellow-men a secret element of gusto.”
—Robert Louis Stevenson (18501894)
“One can describe a landscape in many different words and sentences, but one would not normally cut up a picture of a landscape and rearrange it in different patterns in order to describe it in different ways. Because a photograph is not composed of discrete units strung out in a linear row of meaningful pieces, we do not understand it by looking at one element after another in a set sequence. The photograph is understood in one act of seeing; it is perceived in a gestalt.”
—Joshua Meyrowitz, U.S. educator, media critic. The Blurring of Public and Private Behaviors, No Sense of Place: The Impact of Electronic Media on Social Behavior, Oxford University Press (1985)
