Graspop Metal Meeting - Graspop Metal Meeting 2011

Graspop Metal Meeting 2011

The 16th edition of Graspop Metal Meeting kicked off on Thursday when three Belgian bands, The Minority Print, Evilenko and Warbeast, faced off in the Red Bull Bedroom Jam. Later that evening thousands of people let their hair down and moshed the night away at the video top 100 bash. On Saturday Channel Zero replaced Ozzy Osbourne following Ozzy Osbourne's cancellation (due to a severe laryngitis), Judas Priest took on headlining duties.

Famous quotes containing the words metal and/or meeting:

And, indeed, is there not something holy about a great kitchen?... The scoured gleam of row upon row of metal vessels dangling from hooks or reposing on their shelves till needed with the air of so many chalices waiting for the celebration of the sacrament of food. And the range like an altar, yes, before which my mother bowed in perpetual homage, a fringe of sweat upon her upper lip and the fire glowing in her cheeks.
    Angela Carter (1940–1992)

Again, the great number of cultivated men keep each other up to a high standard. The habit of meeting well-read and knowing men teaches the art of omission and selection.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
