Grand Cities Art Fest

The Grand Cities Art Fest is the upper Red River Valley's premiere arts festival and street fair, held during the second weekend each June in the twin cities of Grand Forks, North Dakota and East Grand Forks, Minnesota. The event includes over 150 artists and artisans, all juried into the show, two food courts with multiple food vendors, a children's area with arts & crafts and inflatable games, live entertainment on two stages, and more. Art Fest takes place in the neighboring downtown areas of the two cities and on the banks of the Red River of the North in the Greater Grand Forks Greenway. New to Art Fest? Start at Grand Forks' Town Square and work your way east!

Art Fest is produced by the North Valley Arts Council, with the help of 12 event chairpersons and more than 200 volunteers.

The 2011 Grand Cities Art Fest dates are Saturday, June 11th from 10am-6pm and Sunday, June 12th from 10am-5pm.

Famous quotes containing the words grand, cities and/or art:

    You’re a grand old flag;
    You’re a high-flying flag.
    And forever in peace may you wave.
    George M. Cohan (1878–1942)

    Lord, how long?
    Bible: Hebrew Isaiah, 6:11.

    Asking how long will the chastisement of the people last. God replies, “Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, and the Lord have removed man far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.”

    The English public, as a mass, takes no interest in a work of art until it is told that the work in question is immoral.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)
