Grand Aire Express - History

History

The airline was established in 1985. After five years based at Monroe, Michigan, Grand Aire Express moved to new corporate headquarters at Toledo Express Airport on 4 January 1999. In 2003, Grand Aire Express closed down/disestablished due to havig numerous violations of safety. Grand Aire, along with American airlines is the only operator in the world to crash two airplanes on the same day. Although AAL accidents were attributed to terrorism, Grand Aire's were from poor safety and training.

Grand Aire Incorporated, separate from Grand Aire Express, is still in business as a provider of on-demand air charter services throughout North America which includes time-critical air charters worldwide, passenger air charters, FBO services at Toledo Express Airport, and cargo handling & trucking.

Here was the oldest settlement of freedmen in the Western world, no doubt. Men who had thrown off the bands of slavery by their own courage and ingenuity. The courage and daring of the Maroons strike like a purple beam across the history of Jamaica.
    Zora Neale Hurston (1891–1960)

Spain is an overflow of sombreness ... a strong and threatening tide of history meets you at the frontier.
    Wyndham Lewis (1882–1957)

No event in American history is more misunderstood than the Vietnam War. It was misreported then, and it is misremembered now.
