Graham Nash David Crosby - History

History

After the split of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in the summer of 1970, all four members would release solo albums over the course of the ensuing twelve months. Neil Young and Stephen Stills would both pursue independent band projects through the early years of the decade, Young working with Crazy Horse and the Stray Gators, with Stills assembling Manassas. Crosby and Nash embarked on a series of concerts together in 1971, deciding to take the new songs audited on the road into the recording studio.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

It’s not the sentiments of men which make history but their actions.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

The history of men’s opposition to women’s emancipation is more interesting perhaps than the story of that emancipation itself.
    Virginia Woolf (1882–1941)

We don’t know when our name came into being or how some distant ancestor acquired it. We don’t understand our name at all, we don’t know its history and yet we bear it with exalted fidelity, we merge with it, we like it, we are ridiculously proud of it as if we had thought it up ourselves in a moment of brilliant inspiration.
    Milan Kundera (b. 1929)
