Kyrgyzstan is divided into seven provinces (oblastlar, singular – oblasty) and one city* (shaar):
- Batken Oblasty (Batken)
- Bishkek Shaary*
- Chuy Oblasty (Bishkek)
- Jalal-Abad Oblasty (Jalal-Abad)
- Naryn Oblasty (Naryn)
- Osh Oblasty (Osh)
- Talas Oblasty (Talas)
- Ysyk-Kol Oblasty (Karakol)
