School Spirit
The relatively small size and the focus on the school as a 'community' as pioneered by staff has established a notable sense of togetherness in the school. This is fostered by many whole school events such as:
- Athletics Carnival
- Swimming Carnival
- Cross Country
- Stations of the Cross demonstrations
- Feast Day (incorporating a morning liturgy followed by fun activities at school such as dodgeball, music concerts, LANs and a slip and slide)
- Walkathon (hosted by the Student Representative Council as a fund raiser)
There are also a large number of other events that are optional but attended by a significant portion the student body:
- Themed discos
- Lunchtime concerts
- Lunchtime events such as 'Pizza Days' and 'Golf Days' as organised by the Student Representative Council at the time
- ANZAC Commemorations
The events are generally looked forward to by students and act to establish relationships between students across year levels and with teachers whom students may not be in regular contact with.

Famous quotes containing the words school and/or spirit:
“I never went near the Wellesley College chapel in my four years there, but I am still amazed at the amount of Christian charity that school stuck us all with, a kind of glazed politeness in the face of boredom and stupidity. Tolerance, in the worst sense of the word.... How marvelous it would have been to go to a womens college that encouraged impoliteness, that rewarded aggression, that encouraged argument.”
—Nora Ephron (b. 1941)
“To higher or lower ends, they [the majority of mankind] move too often with something of a sad countenance, with hurried and ignoble gait, becoming, unconsciously, something like thorns, in their anxiety to bear grapes; it being possible for people, in the pursuit of even great ends, to become themselves thin and impoverished in spirit and temper, thus diminishing the sum of perfection in the world, at its very sources.”
—Walter Pater (18391894)
