Athletics
Golden Valley started their athletics program when the school first opened in 2004. Unfortunately, being a new school, Golden Valley had to build up their athletics program. In 2011 the boys cross country team succeeded in achieving their first state championship in CIF Division II. They also placed 11th in the Nike Cross Nationals. The boys track team also proceeded to win the league championship.
In 2009 and 2010, the boys Basketball took the foothill league championship.
