Golden Demon - Competition Rules

Competition Rules

Overall, the judges will be looking for well-painted models that adhere to the imagery and ethos of the worlds represented in the fictional worlds of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000. Finally, remember that the point of the painting tournaments is to showcase the efforts of all those who paint miniatures in our hobby and to have some fun.

Key points of rules paraphrased from Golden Demon website:

  • "You can only enter once in each category"
  • "all entries...must be painted Citadel miniatures, Forge World or Imperial Armour models or scratch-built models that you have sculpted yourself.
  • Entries from other miniature companies are not accepted.
  • Entry to any of the competitions gives Games Workshop the right to photograph and publish details of models entered as they see fit.

Famous quotes containing the words competition and/or rules:

Wearing overalls on weekdays, painting somebody else’s house to earn money? You’re working class. Wearing overalls at weekends, painting your own house to save money? You’re middle class.
Lawrence Sutton, British prizewinner in competition in Sunday Correspondent (London)

Most of the rules and precepts of the world take this course of pushing us out of ourselves and driving us into the market place, for the benefit of public society.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)
