Stance Toward Turkey

In 2012, party leader Nikos Mihaloliakos said during an election meeting in Thessaloniki that "We will take İstanbul, İzmir as well as the Black Sea back." Famous quotes containing the words stance and/or turkey:

For good teaching rests neither in accumulating a shelfful of knowledge nor in developing a repertoire of skills. In the end, good teaching lies in a willingness to attend and care for what happens in our students, ourselves, and the space between us. Good teaching is a certain kind of stance, I think. It is a stance of receptivity, of attunement, of listening.
    Laurent A. Daloz (20th century)

A turkey is more occult and awful than all the angels and archangels. In so far as God has partly revealed to us an angelic world, he has partly told us what an angel means. But God has never told us what a turkey means. And if you go and stare at a live turkey for an hour or two, you will find by the end of it that the enigma has rather increased than diminished.
    Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874–1936)
