Golden Bauhinia Awards

Golden Bauhinia Awards (simplified Chinese: 金紫荆奖; traditional Chinese: 金紫荊獎) is a Hong Kong film award organised by the Hong Kong Film Critics Association. Its first award presentation ceremony took place in 1996.

The award attracted controversy in 2007 when it gave 10 nominations to Pang Ho-Cheung’s Exodus before it screened anywhere publicly, and also when the Best Film Award was shared by three movies. Its credibility became questioned and the association have decided to suspend the award until further notice.

We are too civil to books. For a few golden sentences we will turn over and actually read a volume of four or five hundred pages.
