Rolling Stock
The Gold Coast Rapid Transit will consist of a fleet of 14 trams. The trams will be made by the Canadian-owned Bombardier Transportation in Bautzen, Germany. The trams will be of Flexity 2 design and measure 43.5 metres (143 ft) long, 2.65 metres (8 ft 8 in) wide, and 3.4 metres (11 ft) high. The bi-directional trams will feature low floors and have dedicated spaces for wheelchairs, prams and surfboards.
