Student Life
The students of Goa Engineering College call themselves Engicos.
The college has E-learning software hosted by the Mechanical Engineering Department. It is the open source software platform, Moodle.
The college has a Nature Club which organises tree planting programmes in the Farmagudi campus and organises treks to locations in Goa. Some of the treks have been to DudhSagar, Keri, Mainapi Falls, and Tamdi Surla Falls.
Student associations, based on their streams, are as follows:
- ELECTRA - Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Students,
- MESA - Mechanical Engineering Students Association,
- ACES - Association of Civil Engineering Students,
- CURSOR - Association of Computer Engineering Students,
- INTENSA -Information Technology Students Association
- ASSETS - Association of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Students.
These associations conduct events, technical and non-technical, once or twice per semester.
