Today
Until today Glitterhouse has released about 750 records. Once a month a mail order catalogue containing approx. 1300 titles is released. Glitterhouse has 10 permanent employees, one apprentice and three interns. These days the “Glitterhouse Projects GmbH & Co KG”, a limited company, governs “Glitterhouse Records” as well as its branches “Glitterbeat” (specialised in world music) and “Stag-O-Lee Records” (specialised in Garaga Rock’n’Roll, vintage R’n’B and everything weird), the “Glitterhouse Mailorder” and the “Orange Blossom Special” open air festival.
Since 1997 the Orange Blossom Special takes place in the backyard of the company office. The annual open air event hosts 1,800 visitors and 20 international bands to create a cosy atmosphere purposely in contrast to strongly commercialized major events.
Rembert Stiewe about Glitterhouse: „Glitterhouse is way more than the sum of its parts. We are family.”

Famous quotes containing the word today:
“In communist society, where nobody has one exclusive sphere of activity but each can become accomplished in any branch he wishes, society regulates the general production and thus makes it possible for me to do one thing today and another tomorrow, to hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, rear cattle in the evening, criticize after dinner, just as I have a mind, without ever becoming hunter, fisherman, shepherd or critic.”
—Karl Marx (18181883)
“Experiment is necessary in establishing an academy, but certain principles must apply to this business of art as to any other business which affects the artis tic sense of the community. Great art speaks a language which every intelligent person can understand. The people who call themselves modernists today speak a different language.”
—Robert Menzies (18941978)
“The late Président de Montesquieu told me that he knew how to be blindhe had been so for such a long timebut I swear that I do not know how to be deaf: I cannot get used to it, and I am as humiliated and distressed by it today as I was during the first week. No philosophy in the world can palliate deafness.”
—Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (16941773)
