Second Stage Transfer
GHA has an agreed programme in place to give thousands of tenants a vote on whether they want their homes to transfer from GHA to community ownership under a process known as Second Stage Transfer.
To date almost 5000 homes have transferred to community-based housing associations.
The SST programme was completed in summer 2011 and saw nearly 19,000 homes transfer in total – where it was what tenants wanted.
