Gingee assembly constituency is part of Arni (Lok Sabha constituency). Gingee itself a legislative constituency. Its previous M.L.A. was ELUMALAI during whose period the Gingee developed a lot. Right now it has no water problems in the town. It is developing to a great level. Gingee masthan (D.M.K) is again won in town panchayat President election (2011).14th Assembly (2011) M.L.A. is A.Ganeshkumar (P.M.K).
