Deacon divides his time between his home in Islington, London, his apartment in Paris and Italy. He has previously dated stylist Katie Grand, whom he met at Central St Martins. The couple lived together for a year and a half before splitting amicably. He has also dated singer Beth Orton and former model Sophie Dahl. Deacon's hobbies include swimming, hiking and gardening.
Deacon counts Elsa Schiaparelli, Miuccia Prada, Coco Chanel and Mr J.M. Millet among his design inspirations.
