Teaching Experience
Since 1974, he has been teaching courses in Persian literature, children’s literature, children’s drama, and creative management at several colleges and institutes of higher education of Iran on non-tenure track basis.
Prior to the 1979 Iran revolution, he taught at the Tehran Higher Institute of Foreign Languages and Literature, and the Tehran Higher Institute of Business Administration for four years. Since 1979, he has been teaching undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Tehran’s College of Fine Arts, Shahid Beheshti University (formerly National University), and Azad University. Before the 1979 Iranian revolution, he also taught at the National Center for Educating Gifted and Talented Children and Youth.
Presently, he is teaching at Zanjan and Sanandaj Universities. He teaches graduate level courses in Persian Literature such as Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh (The Epic of Kings), Bayhaghi’s History, and courses Hafiz, Sa’di, Rumi and other masters of Persian literature and poetry. In addition, since 1992 he has been the thesis adviser of numerous post graduate students.
In addition to teaching Persian literature and language, he has extensive experience in the field of youth and children’s literature, children drama, and child psychology and pedagogy.
He has also developed a course of music studies for children and has been a member of the music council of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, IRIB, in 1987 and 1988.
