International Career

Rudolf's path to the national team began under-17 team in 2001 to 2002. The following two year, he playing for the under-19 team. Rudolf was a regular member of the Hungarian squad in qualification for 2010 FIFA World Cup, and scored one of the goals in the 1–2 away defeat over Sweden on 10 September 2008. He also provided the assist for Ákos Buzsáky's goal in a qualification against Denmark on 14 October 2009. Rudolf scored his second international goal against the Moldova in the Szusza Ferenc Stadium. Hungary beat Moldova 2–1 in the Euro 2012 qualifier. Rudolf was capable to score twice against the San Marino in the Puskás Ferenc Stadium in the Euro 2012 qualifier. Hungary clashed San Marino 8–0 on home turf. Gergely Rudolf scored his sixth goal against the Netherlands in the Amsterdam Arena in front of 51,700 spectators. His goal was the equalizer (1–1) in the Euro 2012 Qualifiers. The match finished 5–3 to the Netherlands. Rudolf scored a goal against Iceland at the Puskás Ferenc Stadium. The match finished 4–0 to Hungary. On 2 September 2011, Rudolf scored against Sweden at the Puskás Ferenc Stadium in the 90th minute. This goal resulted the celebration of 25,000 spectators after beating Sweden in the Euro 2012 qualifying by 2–1. On 6 September Rudolf scored the second goal in the Euro 2012 qualifier against Moldova at the Zimbru Stadium in Chişinău which secured the victory. Hungary won by 2–0.
