MEDIATOR and ARBITRATOR
As a mediator and arbitrator he offers years of experience as a lawyer possessing a unique understanding of construction, sports, politics, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, the military and community service organizations. In his litigation legal career he obtained varied experience in estates, real estate, construction, wrongful dismissal, landlord and tenant, condominiums, land development including appearing before all court levels in Ontario and many administrative tribunals.
As a mediator he is described a patient listener and has earned a reputation for such thus through many pre-trial conferences he has successfully settled disputes. As an arbitrator the parties have been respectfully heard concluding the hearing with a knowledgeable, analysed, fair, written decision.
His background of legal, community, employment and life experiences provided or facilitated creative problem solving, with credibility and impartiality to satisfy the people to the dispute. After hearings, trials or arbitrations he is known to promptly prepare reasoned written decisions, readable and understandable, particularly by the participants.
He was appointed Mediator to The Sports Dispute Resolution Center of Canada panel in 2007 and is presently a member. He was Dispute Resolution Educator-York University 2008.
