On 12 June 1769, he married Felicia (1714–1821), only child of Philip Burton and his wife Felicia, daughter of John Whitfield. They had three daughters: Felicia (1770–1829) who in 1791 married the Reverend Robert Hele; Maria (1773–1852) unmarried; and Sarah (1775–1853) who in 1796 married the Reverend Humphrey Hole.
