Geelong Transit System - Current Ticketing

Current Ticketing

The myki smartcard system was introduced on four Geelong bus routes in December 2008, and on 2 March 2009 all bus routes in Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula were completely switched to myki, with all the old fare equipment being removed. V/Line paper tickets continue to be valid on buses until such time as they are replaced by myki as part of the projected state-wide rollout. The pre-printed ticket issued at V/Line railway stations for use within the GTS area continues in use as a short-term ticket for those rail passengers who don't use a myki card.

Famous quotes containing the word current:

The English language may hold a more disagreeable combination of words than “The doctor will see you now.” I am willing to concede something to the phrase “Have you anything to say before the current is turned on?”
    Robert Benchley (1889–1945)
