Gazprom's Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) includes 158,200 kilometres (98,300 mi) of gas trunklines and branches and 218 compressor stations with a 41.4 GW capacity. The UGSS is the largest gas transmission system in the world. In 2008, the transportation system received 714.3 billion cubic metres (25.23 trillion cubic feet) of gas. The UGSS is currently at the superior limit of its capacity.

Major transmission projects include the Nord Stream and South Stream pipelines, as well as several pipelines inside Russia.
