Gayfield Park

Gayfield Park is a football stadium in Arbroath, Scotland. It is the home ground of Arbroath.

The stadium is situated on the sea front, to the west of Arbroath harbour, on the southern edge of the town. There is no other football stadium in Europe which is as close to the sea, being only 5 metres (16 ft) away from the high tide line. Due to its position next to the North Sea, in winter fans can be exposed to severe cold and winds. The first stadium on this site was built in 1920, and the present ground opened in 1925.

The ground has a capacity of 5,900. The only seating area is the new single tier, covered Gayfield Stand. The stand was opened in 2002 and seats 814 spectators. The other 3 sides of the stadium - the Seaforth End, the East Terrace, and the Harbour end - are standing terraces. These are uncovered except for a small portion in the centre of the terracing which has a roof. The pitch size is 115 by 71 yards (105 m × 65 m).
