Sponsorship
Since 1993, the league has been sponsored. The sponsor is able to determine the league's sponsorship name. Since 1997 the league has been sponsored by Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s. and been known as the Gambrinus liga. In 2008, the sponsorship was extended until the end of the 2013–14 season.
