G3 is set to return with the G3 Tour:2012, featuring Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Steve Lukather. Performances are scheduled for Australia and New Zealand, from 24 March, 2012 to 06 April, 2012. The European leg of the tour (July/August) features Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Steve Morse. They also toured on South America (October) featuring Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Steve Morse and Steve Lukather(he replaced Morse on last 2 dates). On May 6th 2012, John Petrucci announced that drummer Mike Mangini and bassist Dave LaRue would join the G3 tour on the South-America leg.
