Fun 100 - History

History

They formed on the first day of the year 2000. They mostly played in and around Vancouver, and have gone on two tours across Canada.

The band's name came from a roll of stickers that said FUN 100 on them. Since they already had the stickers, they decided to go with the name for their band.

Fun 100 broke up after playing a few shows scheduled in 2007, including one with Polysics.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

Only the history of free peoples is worth our attention; the history of men under a despotism is merely a collection of anecdotes.
    —Sébastien-Roch Nicolas De Chamfort (1741–1794)

Every literary critic believes he will outwit history and have the last word.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

We don’t know when our name came into being or how some distant ancestor acquired it. We don’t understand our name at all, we don’t know its history and yet we bear it with exalted fidelity, we merge with it, we like it, we are ridiculously proud of it as if we had thought it up ourselves in a moment of brilliant inspiration.
    Milan Kundera (b. 1929)
