“I have touched the highest point of all my greatness,
And from that full meridian of my glory
I haste now to my setting. I shall fall

And no man see me more.”

“They will mark the stone-battlements
And the circle of them
With a bright stain.
They will cast out the dead
A sight for Priam’s queen to lament
And her frightened daughters.”

“We know, Mr. Weller—we, who are men of the world—that a good uniform must work its way with the women, sooner or later.”
